I retired a few years ago – I’ve been to the Home Depot and The Wholesale Club more times than I should admit.  

I’ve done some consulting from time to time and while no one yelled, “Ok Boomer” – I’m pretty sure it crossed their mind.

I really like to volunteer but sometimes when I say – ” Hey, I’ve got an idea !” – I get a smile and a nod.  

I call my kids during the day and they remind me that they are working.  

My wife loves me but there’s just so many movies she’ll watch with me.

And so, I decided to write essays about things that I find inspirational.  Sometimes I write about curious aspects of life other times just things that simply interest me.  

In a similar vein, I review movies that entertain, provoke thought and/or inspire.  I don’t like creepy movies that explore obscure dimensions of life or horror movies that shock you.  And since no one pays me to do this, you’ll only find write ups on films I really think would be interesting to see with a bucket of popcorn – sometimes both are stale.

One day I’ll figure out what I want to be when I grow up.  

Maybe this blog will help me get there – but until then the only thing that hasn’t retired is my opinion.
